IT HELP DESK SPECIALIST

JOB DESCRIPTION

Dubak Elektro Group is currently seeking an Information Technology Help Desk Specialist in Belgrade, Serbia to assist our employees. This individual will work closely with our IT team in the greater Chicago, Illinois area to support new and existing employees with their technical needs. Due to the time difference, the working hours for this position will be 10:00 am-6:00 pm, or 11:00 am-7:00PM to overlap with US office hours to enable collaboration with our teams in the U.S.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Systems Administrator with technology projects/initiatives

  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software

  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including software/hardware installations and upgrades, file backups and recovery, and systems and application configurations

  • Perform preventative maintenance, including workstations, printers and peripheral checking and cleaning

  • Assist employees in the office with technical issues

  • Configuration and set up of laptop and desktop computers

  • Respond to internal requests and tasks quickly and accurately

  • Share ideas and be solution-oriented with your IT team

  • Work well under pressure to meet deadlines consistently

  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications for this position:

​

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is required

  • 3+ years of work experience with the Administration/Maintenance of Microsoft Active Directory

  • 3+years of work experience, preferably in desktop and/or server support is required

  • 3+ years of work experience in a customer support/client care environment

  • 3+ years of experience with Windows Operating Systems

  • Proficiency with corporate network infrastructures

  • Excellent working knowledge of networking, installation, troubleshooting, upgrading, and integrations is required

  • Must be proficient in English for all verbal and written communication

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate professionally

  • After a probationary period, an individual may be eligible to work a hybrid schedule, based on their demonstrated work ethic, proficiency, and time management skills
